I am ready to commit the initial version of JPath to
jakarta-commons.
The first cut of JPath has the following features:
* Retrieval and modification of JavaBean properties
using the XPath syntax. There is a registration
mechanism for custom "BeanInfo" descriptors.
* Retrieval and modification of dynamic properties of
objects like java.util.Map using the XPath syntax.
There is a registration mechanism for
classes/interfaces with such dynamic properties.
* XSLT-ready DOM tree representing a graph of
JavaBeans, collections, arrays, primitive values and
objects with dynamic properties.
* A JPath adapter for Xalan. JPath is designed in a
Transformer-neutral fashion.
The source tree, build script, PROPOSAL.html and
STATUS.html are all ready. I have a zip file I can
send to those who request it.
>From my prospective, all I need is to become a
committer on that subproject.
Thanks,
