In b18f4550.jal:

> include 18f4550 -- target PICmicro
> --
> -- This program assumes the external oscillator
> -- is used with a frequency of 20 MHz.
> pragma target CPUDIV _OSC1_OSC2_SRC___1__96MHZ_PLL_SRC___2_
> pragma target OSC HS -- internal oscillator
> pragma target clock 20_000_000 -- oscillator frequency

in 18f4550.jal:

> pragma fuse_def OSC:1 0xF {
> HS_PLL = 0xE
> HS = 0xC
> HS_USB = 0xB
> XT_USB = 0xA

And yes, my LED is blinking in the right tempo.

There is one advantage to this:

        pragma target CPUDIV _OSC1_OSC2_SRC___1__96MHZ_PLL_SRC___2_

Newbies will run crying with the tail between their legs! No more
requests for USB enabled PICs on the jallist!

I wonder how you invent these spells. Is this straight from the .dev
files? Nasty.

I'm very happy I could contribute a small bit, after reading so much.
Time for bed.
