Hi All, I saw a discussion on piclist about arduino for pic's, as we discussed before. Anyboding reading this thread?
An other idea was triggerd by Alber's RC5 and Seb's sharp sensors. I know there are zillions of robotics kits available and they all start off with the hardware. For control they sometimes have some limited graphical design tool (with a limiting framework on the robot) or they provide a programming language and some code + examples on IO. At jallib, we get quite some collection of IO code examples. What we could add is a JAL framework - a basic and extendable rotobics application that shows (and thus helps) users to create more advanced interactions. A basic setup could be a program with a timed isr. The isr is used for timing purposes and - when choosen right - also can handle RC5 in the background. Add some examples of non-blocking IO and you're off. What do you think, would there be users out there that would appreciate (and use) this?
