each chip to blink a led is the extreme.

I do think it would be nice to have a board for the a few current
chips. And it would be nice if the board could be used with many
examples. So a few led's, an lcd connector, a few buttons, i2c...
In other words, some kind of development board or modular system (like
Wouter's dwarf boards).
