no need to use a tag for this. I even wonder how to compare content between
a tag and the trunk with GC web interface.

It costs me the time to create it, checkout it, update Makefile, commit it.

OK... *You* missed the message in which I announced beta packages as
available, *we* (Rob, I, others) waited  more than 20 days between this beta
and the final release. Please understand that I can't do nothing about this
! You should complain to MS Outlook, or whatever your favorite mail client,
this is where the "big surprise" lies...

AFAIK there were many other compiler releases between august and final
december's. All versions have been deployed on buildbot and tested by (some
of) us.

Finally, what do you mean by "grap the TORELEASE" ?
