StringToBCD -- makes packed BCD, two digits per byte/character
BCDtoString -- expands  packed BCD, two digits per byte to ASCII
Ltrim, Rtrim -- trims of spaces
Instr ---returns position of a character in string, starting search
from nth position
Spaces-- makes a string
Zeros-- adds N zeros to end of string
BCDInc, BCDDec -- increments or decrements packed BCD.
-- the BCD in these cases can be string where the ASCII values
represent packed BCD, i.e. chr(16 +1) is 11 BCD
Mid -- returns substring at position X of length L

Why? Because I prototype PIC projects in VB6 :-) It's very rapid and
easy to debug. Any type LCD / keypad is easily simulated. The serial
port handshake pins can be 2 or 3 output pins and 3 or 4 input pins
controlling/reading the real hardware a PIC will connect to (I've read
IR remote detectors, tx/RX on 433MHz modules, I2C, four wire I/O, RDS
decoder chip, relays, Microswitches etc all via the RS232 port in XP
on VB6.

I'm debugging Graphics & text features for PIC + KS0108 / KS0107
128x64 GLCD successfully with 128x64 array of shapes for dots. I'm
using same font data as PIC JAL program. I'll post the revised GLCD/
Text JAL libraries (developed / debugged in VB6 and tested on 16F877 +
JE-AN12864 which is KS0108 type GLCD).
All the VB code for timing keypad interaction and other features is in
a 10ms (lowest possible) Timer Event in VB as if a timer Interupt on
PIC.
