What's 'definitive'? Everything is temporary ;-)
JalV2 2.4n is required for the extended midrange PICs.
I have reported two issues to Kyle. For one he gave me a source fix, but
as far as I know he didn't update the published files at his site yet. I
have built a fixed executable for myself, and could provide fixed Linux
and Windows executables as interim solution. But an interim solution for
a beta compiler..... I doubt if this is a good thing.
The other is an issue with warnings for 'cexpr', which I got when
compiling ADC samples. I have not tested an ADC sample with warnings, so
I don't know the effect of these warnings.
Not that I would withdraw my request to put 2.4n-beta in the Jallib
tree, but I see some drawbacks...
