Got it working with PicKit2, following instructions here:
http://www.microchip.com/forums/m559429.aspx. It requires an update of
PK2Device.dat file, and, for Linux version, some tinkering within the
sources to accept this update.

Yes, I figured that... once I plugged and tried :)
PIC is still alive... but thinking about this, that may explain why I have
troubles to deal with USB...
