That fix worked, thanks again! I tried putting delay's in other places, and only noticed a problem if this delay is in the slave:
-- this callback is used when master wants to read something -- from us. It should use i2c_hw_slave_write() to send something procedure i2c_hw_slave_on_state_3() is pragma inline i2c_hw_slave_write_i2c(data) _usec_delay(1_000) end procedure But if the delay is before i2c_hw_slave_write_i2c(data), all works ok. This is for both hw and sw master (I only tested hw slave). I don't think this one matters so much anyways since fetching data to send (the possible slow part) occurs before calling i2c_hw_slave_write_i2c.
