I wrote a simple program, tinkering sd_card.jal to get reply value, putting
your procs in the sample code, etc... When starting, it write several
information steps while in the init procedure, then if init is successful,
it write more information using CSD CID twice (it was in your suggestion,
why twice ?), then IF COND.

In the end, here are the results:
* for a 1GB Sandisk, known to work:

!012=01=3<01><01><01><01><01><01><01><01><01><01><01><01><01><01><01><01><0
1><00>401
-- SD Card report --
SD Card reply: 01
CSD CID: 00 26 00 32 5F 59 83 C8 BE FB CF FF 92 40 40 D7
CSD CID: 00 26 00 32 5F 59 83 C8 BE FB CF FF 92 40 40 D7
IF COND:08FFFFFFFF

=> "=01=" is the reply value while in init procedure. When "3", it's just
before sd_ready() call, "<01>" is the response value, printed from
sd_ready() proc. It loops until it become "00". Then the sample itself runs
and report more information.

* for a 4GB SDHC Sandisk, known *not* to work: well I can't get the reply
value... it get stuck within sd_init(), in sd_ready() call.

!012=01=3<01><01><01><01><01><01><01>......

You'll never get a "00" response while in sd_ready. Note sd reply is "01".

Well, that may sounds cryptic, and I can't post some code as I tinkered
many things in libs. I only have a precious HEX file :) for Jaluino Bee
(18f27J53). I'll post more information on jaluino.org about this reporting
sample, and expected results.

I can also tinker sd_card.jal to enable a "debug" mode, expecting a
"serial_data" pseudo-var to report results. This would give a generic way
to report sd card usage.

Cheers,
Seb
