I'm done with these "macros" for my software.
It's a lot of fun to figure out how it works with the offset, excludes and
so on...
Meanwhile, I was checking the coherency between the new .pic data and the
old .dev-based ones - e.g., for the new base-line PIC16F570 I've heard
about recently - and I was unlucky to find an error (who's surprised?): the
MPLAB-X .pic says it has only 2 code sections (wrong) but the DS and
the .lkr says it has 4 (right). The MPLAB-8 .dev says it has 2 (wrong, but
if based on the .pic this is a coherent)...
We definitely need automatic checking procedures. For now, I guess that I
will rely more on the .lkr than on the .pic files for sections.
