I've been very quiet recently, mostly due to the pressures of real life
and work, but I just
wanted to let everyone know (those who don't already) about the Hackaday
prize <https://hackaday.io/prize> and
Hackaday.io. I'm a big fan of Hackaday inasmuch as I enjoy seeing (and
stealing^H^H^H
borrowing) the ideas and code that others come up with as a solution for
any given
problem. If you're like me, you probably find that on any given day
there's usually at least
one item on the Hackaday blog page <http://hackaday.com/blog/> which is
relevant to a past, current or planned project of
your own.
The thing is, there are very few projects featuring JAL, which is kind of
a shame seeing we
discussed the chicken-and-egg problem of JAL visibility a while back.
So, in true non-altruistic
manner (I'm in need of some cheap PCBs for various projects and I kinda'
like purple :-)), I've
put up an ongoing project of my own on hackaday.io and would like to
encourage the rest of
you to do the same. Right now you can get $50 worth of OSHPark PCB
vouchers if your
project is selected in the weekly draws and there are other, higher value
prizes, too. It only takes
a few minutes to publish your project on the site (don't forget to add
the "JAL" tag!). Let's see
if we can swamp hackaday with JAL. :-)
[ I realize that this sounds like an advertisement or even spam for
hackaday, but as a JAL user
and happy recipient of a $50 PCB voucher, I just wanted to let everyone
know how easy this is. ]
