Thank you for your answer.
nRF24L01 only works on 2.4Ghz frequency range . nRF905 works on both 433Mhz and 
868Mhz, which can be selected "on the fly", and allows to use LoRa and Sigfox 
networks.
So the two chipsets are not made for same use and cannot be substituted.
For this features (and its low cost!), nRF905 is getting more and more popular, 
particulary on IoT based on Arduino.
