Hi Agnieszka. I suspect you are using an out of date JNLP file which is missing one of the libraries 2.8.2 depends on. Try launching Jalview with this link: http://www.jalview.org/services/launchApp?jvm-max-heap=1G (insert your preferred memory setting!)
You should then be able to export alignment figures ! Jim.
