I'm looking to improve the mailing list support so that I do not have to
restart James (and add new sections to config.xml) each time I want to add a
new mailing list. JDBCListserv appears more geared for that approach than
the AvalonListserv* classes, but lacks support for list commands.
What is the thought for changing JDBCListserv? I guess if there are people
already using it, they are managing the tables by hand since there isn't any
support for list commands. If we'd want it compatible with old JDBCListserv
and current AvalonListservManager, we could parameterize JDBCListserv so
that we can configure it for the corresponding table definitions.
Alternatively, I can code a JDBCListservManager that is mated with
JCBCListServ.

Danny,
There is? Where? I must be missing it. The table format in
sqlResources.xml, which is used by AvalonListservManager, is incompatible
with the one hardcoded in JDBCListserv.
It appears that JDBCListserv does everything on its own, whereas the other
Listserv mailets are based upon the Avalon Frameworks. I'm not finding a
corresponding JDBCListservManager type class.
