Let me put it to you this way: do you want to update the CVS, or do you want
to rewrite all of the build instructions to tell developers how to download
and install ANT before they can build James, and also make the necessary
changes to the build scripts?
Seems to me that the least effort FOR NOW is to update the CVS. As you
said, it seems prudent to defer until after the release.

we're going to remove ant, I thought it prudent to defer that until after
2.1.1 release, but if this change requires ant 1.5 perhaps we should drop
