They are related as a matter of "perception", in the sense that the process
of doing the build alters the source. Paul mentioned that he was seeing
lots of changes to files when doing a build. I was simply pointing out the
kinds of changes that can occur, and their reasons.
Oh ... hmmm ... one of the reasons I can't use jCVS with James is that when
run on Windows jCVS ASSUMES that correct line termination is the Windows
convention, so I ssh to the linux server where I build James, and I run cvs
on that machine. I wonder if Paul is running into a similar situation where
some tool is being "nice" for him?
