Thank you. :) It is indeed related to the extra file. Unfortunately, getting rid of that albatross is a touch more complicated. Basically, we'd need to smarten up the Spool implementations and create an engine that allowed a shared buffer between the InputStream from the wire and the OutputStream into the spool. I don't really think it's feasible in the short term, especially when we have the restriction of not changing the Mailet API.
