Peter, In the interest of not making a fuss out of nothing I'll skip replying directly to your points and cut to the chase.. If we agree that it is at least important to have minor version numbers in the bug-tracking system, I personally think that it is essential, and that Bugzilla is what we have, and bugzilla wont let us seperate out version numbers, surely it is better to have minor version numbers in than omited?
It is still possible to query for bugs for a major version by selecting all the appropriate versions.
