FYI: well, I do have two mailer packages. The first breaks rfcs in many ways (no wait for answers, don't bother with line lengths) but works with my current mail server. The second conforms (almost) with rfcs. The first is 2,5 kilobytes, it was written in an hour. The second is 16 kilobytes and it took two days.
