Harmeet,

Originally this was a lengthy message, addressing each of your points. But
I have removed that in order to focus on something that I find quite
disturbing.

> > Basically your message, by your own admission, is a
> > rehashing of old wounds without telling us what bugs
> > you think are present in the current code.

> No it is not, it is documenting a certain irresponsibility on the part

Please read your sentence above. In fact, I encourage everyone to re-read
your sentence above. What was your intent? Was it to fix a problem or to
attack someone else's work? According to you, your intent was to document
alleged irresponsibilities on the part of a fellow Committer.

Sniping at fellow Committers, Harmeet, is nothing but destructive to the
Community, as you can see from several other people's replies. And I am
very disturbed that you chose to launch the attack shortly after you IM'd me
to ask if he was feeling alright, and I naively replied that he just wanted
some quiet time to relax.

> I am stating the NNTP SERVER IS NOT WORKING NOW and it was working
earlier.
> So RESPONSIBLE DEVELOPER SHOULD FIX THIS OR LET ME. I don't know how to
> put it more clearly so I hope this is good enough.

There is only one responsible developer for this project, and his name is
James. Don't point fingers elsewhere (or at all). If you have a defect
report, please be specific. If you have a patch, please submit it for
review.

You still haven't specified and substantiated the nature of the defects.
All that you've told anyone who asks for specifics is that they should try
it for themselves.

As for personal attacks, I remind you that the ASF Board is taking a clear
stance on the issue. Personal attacks cannot be tolerated. Community is
far more important than code. Extending respect and courtesy to your fellow
contributors is far more important than code. Please take this to heart.

        --- Noel
