There might be a problem with this approach.
rm (or the shell), might complain about the expansion of '*' when there is alot of 
files.

Workarounds 
1/  all shells: 
                    find . -type f -exec rm -rf {}\;
2/ in bash:  
                    for i in *;do rm -rf $i;done

Remember to 'cd' to the directory where the files is before firing the command line.
