They are right about problems with large directories-- even on an NT box.

Someone was trying to relay spam through my James and ended up creating
thousands of files in my spam folder. I do not know if I was on NT, 2000, or
XP at the time, but my computer always hung when I tried to select-all and
delete this number of files. (BTW - the number of files eventually locked-up
my James installation)

On NT, I would suggest NOT using the GUI to delete these files (if like me
you have an *Enormous* number of files). Instead, use a Command-Prompt to
cd to the offending folder(s) and do del *.*

PS - As using the Command-Prompt window does not give you the safety of
trashcans, etc. Be sure you know what you're doing/deleting.
