I'm running the CVS HEAD with JDK 1.3. Given that I have an SMP system, the
current Sun JDK has reported problems with SMP, and IBM won't have a 1.4
release until late this year, I'm hoping we can stay on JDK 1.3 for as long
as possible.

does 2.1 require
