AFAIK the numbers only increment on a release made with avote, a plan and an announcement, anything else isn't supported and is just a build, therefore latest builds are simply that a dated build of cvs.
releases will increment version numbers in proportion to the scope of the changes, the "a" indicates that this will be the Alpha 1 release of version 2.1 (I think we can probably do better than this, but it works ok, in that the numbers increase, and we can distinguish versions) d. > -----Original Message----- > From: Noel J.
