> Noel, you have a typo there... it's "hakuna", not kakuna...
So I do ... and the odd thing is that I did a cut & paste to prevent just
such a problem ... weird ... I've no idea how I managed to do that. :-)
In any event, sure enough, now I get:
> set q=mx
> hakuna.up.ac.za
Server: gateway
Address: 192.168.1.1
hakuna.up.ac.za MX preference = 10, mail exchanger = postino.up.ac.za
hakuna.up.ac.za MX preference = 0, mail exchanger = kendy.up.ac.za
Testing that through my deployment of James, I get:
17/01/03 11:22:30 INFO smtpserver: Successfully spooled mail from
[EMAIL PROTECTED] for [[EMAIL PROTECTED]]
17/01/03 11:22:38 INFO James.Mailet: RemoteDelivery: Mail
(Mail1042820550650-75967-to-hakuna.up.ac.za) sent successfully to
kendy.up.ac.za.
Indicating that the MX record was properly identified and honored. The fact
that the local address isn't valid, so I got a bounce notice later, isn't
germaine.
