I'm really torn about this. I don't want to deal with stubs anymore,
and I can't make much of a case for them anymore. I'm not certain, but
do platforms like windows/mac present a problem here? Freebsd 2.x (when
profiling) needs stubs, but I can just not profile on a freebsd 2.x
machine... :)

what are the errors? it compiles fine for me.
