It would help if you would disentangle whether it is a jdk1.2pre1 issue or
a 1.0b3 issue. First, remember to *look in the error log*. The jserv log is
not enough. Then,
- try running with 1.0b1 and jdk1.2
- try running with 1.0b3 and jdk1.1.7
Now you'll know if it's the jdk or the jserv version that is causing trouble.
The jdk1.2 for linux is still prerelease and no one at blackdown promises
that it will actually work for anyone. It would be nice to have
confirmation of whether it works with jserv, because folks like me don't
like downloading huge files over a 28K modem.
