I just downloaded and installed Jigsaw Saturday and just for fun, converted our whole ad network over to it briefly to compare the workload on the server. I'd always been concerned that the Apache-JServe solution involved some overhead because of the socket communication and such. Whereas Jigsaw supports servlets directly from the server. It seemed that jigsaw offered an overall decrease in server load. The test wasn't very scientific and incomplete, but the initial impression was that moving to jigsaw would increase efficiency. Does anyone have any benchmarks, etc., comparing Servlet performance in Jigsaw verses Apache-JServ? (we're just concerned with servlet performance, not static html, etc). There is one such comparison on the jigsaw site, but it's 1 or 2 major versions ago for Jigsaw and Apache.
