I tried to configure/install Jserv on a Suse6.0 binary distribution and had the impression from the rather short installation howto that it should be possible to install Jserv without recompiling Apache. Is this correct? Because when I ran the configure script, it needs a path "--with-apache-install=/usr/local/etc/src/apache", that means it need to look at the source code which I don't (yet) have on my installation. (It then doesn't find what it needs in sbin where the httpd lives and quits with a message that DSO "isn't supported" by my Apache.) Sorry, when this is a beginner question, but that's the trouble I ran into. Thanks for any help. Dieter. ------------------------------------------------ ------ PGP welcome!
