I have used the weblogic type 4 jdbc drivers in a production environment
(JDK1.1) for the last 9 months and can vouch for their reliability. 

At the time we purchased it, they were sold under the name "FastForward"
(http://www.connectsw.com) but I believe that the current weblogic
drivers are decendents of the one we are using.

I have been intending to test the freeTds drivers for some time - has
anyone tried them? I believe they have had to reverse-engineer the TDS
protocol...
