hello all -
i downloaded apache 1.3.6 and jserv 1.0 and tried to install them on jdk 1.1.6 on NT4
w/ SP3 and
ran into problems. the error that i got was similar to what i've seen posted on this
mailing list before. specifically:
22/06/1999 05:26:33:477] (EMERGENCY) ajp11: can not connect to host 127.0.0.1:807
22/06/1999 05:26:33:477] (EMERGENCY) ajp11: connection fail
22/06/1999 05:26:33:477] (ERROR) an error returned handling request via protocol
"ajpv11"
i tried reinstalling everything from scratch, playing with all the obvious entries in
jserv.properties, etc
to no avail. then the switch went on and i realized that i had jserv setup to point to
jsdk 2.1 and
i remmembered reading somewhere about it working with 2.0. so, i changed the jsdk jar
in the
classpath from 2.1 to 2.0 and viola - everything worked great. so, i would presume
that there are
some problems with jsdk 2.1 and jserv. can someone shed more light on this?
