Yes ... As the installation instructions point out, Apache JServ 1.0 supports version 
2.0 of the servlet API,
not 2.1.  Work is in progress on a next generation version that includes 2.1 support, 
which will show up as
part of the Jakarta project (http://jakarta.apache.org) that was announced at JavaOne 
recently.
