I've just started using JServ 1.1b1, and have noticed lots and lots of
JServ processes running after extended use (several times more than the
number of running Apache processes).
Also, when I shut down Apache, I get the following in my log files:
[emerg] JServ: wrapper: JServ (27805) didn't die nicely, killing it
and all of the JServ processes are then killed.
Is this normal? I'm seeing this while still just testing the system, and
am kind of afraid to see what would happen with a large number of users
hitting the server...
