I have just installed JServ on a RedHat 6.0 server. I am running
Novell's GroupWise Webaccess on it. The problem that I am having is that
after people start using the webaccess I notice a process running on the
server called java_ns and it takes up %99 of the processor power and
never goes away until I reboot the server. While that process is taking
up all the processor power none of the servlets will work, not even the
/example/Hello one. After I reboot the server it goes away. What is this
process? Is it some sort of java nameserver. I didn't have this problem
on my test server that I set up. But on the new server I installed very
limited software, and bind was not something installed. Could this be a
problem of not having bind installed? I have another Linux server
running DNS and this one is pointing to it. I could be way off, but it
is a real problem. I am trying to convince everyone at my company that
Linux is the way to go, and that NT is bad. Any help would be great.

Apache 1.3.9
Jserv 1.0
JSDK 2.0
JDK 1.1.7 v3

Thanks
