Hi Nick,
you're right in that the IBM JDK blasts away blackdown's 1.1.7
but we've experienced a lot of problems with the linux threads
this jvm is using. They don't seem to be cleaned up properly
and the jvm slowly dies as a result.
We're running redhat 6.1 on an pentium 550 with apache 1.3.9
and jserv1.0
After we'd started using the green threaded version of blackdown's 1.1.7
our problems disappeared and after switching over to blackdown's 1.2.1
it even was speedy enough.. The system has been up and running for a
respectable 5 days now without trouble..
