Don't make us guess your problem!!! ---------------------------------------------------------------- Assuming that you'd be using Oracle's JWeb cartridge.... I just spent 3 days migrating my code from OAS to Jserv. We decided on this switch because OAS is just too unstable. During the migration I learned that: 1) Jserv is _much_ faster 2) Jserv is much more stable than OAS (haven't crashed yet... knock on wood) 3) Jserv is much less of a memory hog 4) Jserv has a much better and a more open user community (ie this list) Faster, more stable, less memory, and a better user community. Jserv is the hands down winner IMHO. And even if your boss insists that you go with OAS, take solace in the fact that the architecture of JWeb and servlets are very similar... porting isn't too hard. Hope this helps, -Duck Jin ----- Original Message ----- From: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Tuesday, February 15, 2000 12:21 AM Subject: JServ vs. OAS (Oracle Application Server) > ---------------------------------------------------------------- > BEFORE YOU POST, search the faq at <http://java.apache.org/faq/> > WHEN YOU POST, include all relevant version numbers, log files, > and configuration files.
