Try to download JDeveloper from http://otn.oracle.com.
It's actually JBuilder, adapted by Oracle.
Let's you build SQLJ VERY easy!

Hello all,

Thanx for your reply, I apreciate it.

Well I am using jdk1.2.2 and ApacheJServ1-0, jsdk2.0, and yes I got a
correct version classes111.zip and it is fine, there is a connection, and I
can retrieve data.
but now there is no such a method as

Connection
con.createStatement(ResultSet.TYPE_SCROLL_SENSITIVE,ResultSet.CONCUR_UPATABL
E);
it onaly supports Connection con.createStatemenr();

Now I know this is jdbc issue, and since I am using jdk1.2.2 I assume I got
jdbc2.0, where this createStatement is supported.
Bottom line is I need to use previous and last from a ResultSet, and I am
not able yet.

Thanx,

Darko

Get the 100% Java version of the driver, the one that does not uses OCI (I
do not remember how Oracle name it). The OCI version of the JDBC driver
needs you to have the Oracle Client for Linux installed and configured. The
non-OCI version (I guess it is the "thin" driver) can talk to your Oracle
Server with no additional software.

Anywhere you want. The only thing that matters is the path to the jar file
from the driver.

You have to add a new wrapper.classpath line pointing to the jar file of
your Oracle JDBC driver.

The JDBC URL is specific to the JDBC driver. The driver package comes with
example programs you can use. The OCI and the Thin driver has different
URLs.

Maybe it is not -- this list is not about Oracle or JDBC drivers. But, if I
can help, why not?

Go to www.oralinux.org where you can find more resources about Oracle and
Linux.
