with one of our direct client.

Front End Engineer/Mobile/Video
Location: Chelsea, NY
Duration: 6+Months*
*Responsibilities: *
• Assist with vendor evaluations and internal technical designs for “Build
vs. Buy” decisions regarding next-generation Mobile Apps/Sites and Video
Players/Platforms.
• For “Build” decisions, development of Front End Apps, Sites, API, and
Video Players along with integration with back-end systems including
databases and Content Management Systems (CMS).
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, backend engineers, vendors
and usability engineers to refine the user experience and features.
*Required Skills: *
• 5+ years of experience in general web application development, with 4+
years with front-end development
• Video Development: Flash & HTML5 (including building and customizing Video
Players)
• RESTful API (service) Development (using PHP or Java, as well as
integrating with various backend methods such as REST, SOAP, XML, and direct
Database connectivity)
• Mobile Development: HTML5 and Native App development (iPhone & Android)
• JavaScript (including DOM, object-oriented JavaScript, Ajax, JSON, events,
callbacks) and well-demonstrated XHTML/CSS
• Knowledge of jQuery
• Experienced with version control (SVN preferred)
• Solid understanding of web/usability/accessibility standards
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communications skills
*Preferred Skills (bonus if you have these): *
• Java, Tcl, Vignette, PHP CodeIgniter experience.
• Knowledge and experience with XSL.
• Knowledge of web application lifecycle, MVC and other design patterns.
