Andreas Veithen commented on AXIS-2864:
---------------------------------------
Axis 1.4 uses the naming conventions imposed by JAX-RPC 1.1. I guess that Axis
1.1 conforms to a previous or draft version of JAX-RPC or doesn't implement
JAX-RPC at all. One could probably make the XML Name -> Java name mappings
configurable to provide (limited) compatibility with previous Axis versions.
Can you give a more detailed account of the differences that cause your issue?

> Axis 1.4 generates stubs which differ very significantly from Axis 1.1 (
> The changes are in naming convention of stubs and in the structure of the
> stub themselves. e.g some classes are no longer being generated, and all _
> (underscores) in names are gone by default. We can not migrate our app to
> AXIS 1.4
