On second look, the SourceForge Rune project appears to be defunct (no
activity AFAICT since 2001).  And there is a note from 2001 at
<http://www.worldvista.org/Conferences/Past_Events> that seems to
confirm this:

   Rune Development Group Meeting:
     Oakland Federal Building, Oakland, California, USA
       Work on object-oriented (OO) extensions to Standard MUMPS,
       decision to set aside OO work to create OpenVistA.
       sponsor: MUMPS Development Committee

(Five out of six of the Rune project developers are now developers on
the OpenVistA sourceforge project.)

So, I think that as long as "Rune" never referred to an actual product,
and it's not being actively used, why not use it?
