The byte[] stuff seems ok.
Is there an easy way to add a InstantiatedIndexWriter.addIndexes(IndexReader[]
readers) method? Seems doable with the InstantiatedIndex(IndexReader
sourceIndexReader) constructor however I want to me able to merge another
IndexReader in.
