bq. I can possibly work on this, just go through and reedit the
BufferedIndexInput portions of the code. Inheriting is difficult because of the
ByteBuffer code. Needs to be done line by line.
That would be awesome, Jason. I think we should then commit NIOFSDirectory to
core as at least a way around this bottleneck on all platforms but Windows.
Maybe we can do this in time for 2.4?
