A long shot - can you please print the line read in makeDocument? Could it be
that the line is not null, but 0 length (or contains just whitespaces)? I just
thought that we're running on two different OSs (I run on Windows and you on
Linux/Mac?) and perhaps on your OS the first readLine() succeeds, reading a
blank line or something, and the second will fail, attempting to read the
actual information?
