I think I'd favor not nulling reqScorer, though that's a bigger change, so
perhaps instead just add the null test in ReqExclScorer.doc() and we can later
optimize away the nulling?
Also, in general, we can decouple the optimizations that become possible with
Integer.MAX_VALUE as sentinel, from this issue...
