I am working on the week 1 homework assignment trying to make my first web application.
I have successfully installed the jdk and net beans. I am trying to create a web application in netbeans and a number of items are missing. For example the web application template is missing, glassfish is missing. I think even j2ee is missing. I am trying to decide which way to go. At one extreme I could uninstall net beans and reinstall it using a bundle that includes glass fish. Another approach would be to add the appropriate plug ins. If so, which ones do I need? Do I need to install them in a particular order? It looks like at least two dozen plugins are available to install, so I started with this the one for glassfish. This seems like a general problem that would come up in the real world. In general, how do you decide whether to add plug-in to the ide or just uninstall reinstall the ide with a bundle.
