Thanks for your replies, Uriel Brown and Geoffrey Prest.  Your suggestions to
uninstall and start fresh worked.  I even turned in my homework assignment.
Thanks again.

Hey Dennis,

The easiest way in correcting your problems is to uninstall netbeans and
download the bundle that says ALL. This bundle will have everything you need to
get going.

Thanks

I am working on the week 1 homework assignment trying to make my first web
application.

I have successfully installed the jdk and net beans.  I am trying to create a
web application in netbeans and a number of items are missing.  For example
the web application template is missing, glassfish is missing.  I think even
j2ee is missing.

I am trying to decide which way to go.  At one extreme I could uninstall net
beans and reinstall it using a bundle that includes glass fish.  Another
approach would be to add the appropriate plug ins.  If so, which ones do I
need?  Do I need to install them in a particular order?   It looks like at
least two dozen plugins are available to install, so I started with this the
one for glassfish.

This seems like a general problem that would come up in the real world.  In
general, how do you decide whether to add plug-in to the ide or just uninstall
reinstall the ide with a bundle.

Thanks

Dennis
