I have a 6+ month contract position for a *SQL Server*/*Java Developer* in *
Chandler**, AZ or Concord, CA – this candidate can sit in EITHER location.*
With the Wells Fargo/Wachovia merger we have changes related to our
applications. Some of the projects that the person would be working on
include the following:
- Increasing various account related fields in database and
applications.
- Conversion to a new GL system.
- Upgrading applications from SQL Server 2000 to SQL Server
2005/2008.
- Help team address SQL Server security issues and apply
remediations.
Most of the work (60 to 80%) will be on the SQL Server side. We are looking
for candidates that have experience with stored procs, SQL, and DTS/SSIS.
On a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 being the highest) we are looking for skills
in the 7 to 8 range. For the Java changes we are looking for a skillset
around the 5 to 6 range.
This team is scattered across the country. We need a candidate the can work
independently and has very good analytical skills. They will need to review
the applications to determine what all changes need to be done for the above
projects and be able to thoroughly test them to avoid any potential issues.
