I have a need for *2 Weblogic Engineers/Admin’s* at *San Francisco**, CA** . * * * *(local candidates will be considered first, those out of area must be able to come for a face to face interview (after phone interview) at own expense, as well as relocate at own expense if selected)* Pay rate $48 c2c / 6 to 18 month contract. *Role Description* *This is an engineer type, not a developer or an architect. Hands-on experience is more critical than design skills. However, our shop follows a RUP project methodology, and we use UML extensively to document project and deployment designs, so experience with same will be helpful.* The Integration engineer will work closely in OLB-IE Platform Engineering practices area and work with the development teams to understand, engineer and support Infrastructure and Platform level changes, environments and integration requirements for applications developed at WFIS and in ISD (Internet Services Development), validate environment changes in SIT (System Integration Testing), and facilitate rolling out Environment changes to other environments (like QA and Production). The candidate will work with our US based Platform/Integration (OLB-IE) team and manage the projects in our offshore facility. Minimum Qualification - 6+ years of experience in the Integration Engineering and/or Platform Engineering - Bachelor Degree in Computer Sciences or other technical discipline *Required Profile* - 5+ years of experience in *BEA Web Logic 8.x (or later) Administration and Configuration* - 3+ years of *Web Logic Administrator experience, with knowledge in clustering, *JMS, Connection Pools, J2EE Deployments, Thread Dump Analysis. - 2+ years of experience working on capacity *planning and performance tuning of J2EE applications and platforms, using Java profilers and/or Wily Introscope.* - 2+ years of experience working with *ClearCase as a Build Engineer or J2EE Developer level experience with UNIX and ClearCase tools.* - Excellent working knowledge in *Unix/Solaris is required.* - Ability to analyze and troubleshoot in a 3 tier J2EE application environment on UNIX. - Willingness to mentor, have strong analytical, technical documentation, and excellent business communication skills are required. - Must demonstrate solid understanding of SDLC and change control processes. Desired Skills - Experience in web-services integration using AXIS or XML Beans - Working experience with SUN N1SPS is a big plus - Experience with Sun One Web Server or Apache - Experience with Big-IP F5 and load-balancing - Experience with Shell and/or Perl scripting Please send resumes!
