This is a hands-on WebSphere technologist position which will be responsible for the architecture, development and migration of external/internal facing websites and web applications to the WebSphere Product Suite. The candidate will provide technical leadership and work with cross functional teams in creating a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), and design patterns to accelerate the integration of new functionality and new constituents into the company's portal. Candidate will establish and maintain constructive relationships with local and global web environment users; establish and maintain constructive relationships with Client developers utilizing Web environment. Candidate will also research and recommend technology to meet user's needs as well as represent Client users for global web initiatives *Essential tasks/responsibilities:* • Design and build end-to-end architecture of component-based, services-oriented internet/intranet web application frame work using J2EE and WebSphere Portal Platform • Provide detailed system design documentation and deliverables, such as functional requirements, process flows, use cases, user interface modeling, UML diagrams, sequence diagrams, component and deployment diagrams, class diagrams, data models, technical specifications, architecture diagrams. • Lead Collaborative & Web Technologies team members throughout portal development process including customer needs analysis, functional and technical design requirements and application coding, testing, implementation and support using SDLC methodologies • Optimize WebSphere portal and content management platform capabilities including but not limited to application tuning and code optimizations • Migrate current websites content to WebSphere Content Management platform • Migrate current website applications to WebSphere Portal Platform • Design and develop process enabled, external and internal facing Portals • Provide technical mentoring and support for other web development team members • Establish and evolve a SOA-based web application framework into a rapid portal development platform with reusable business services and processes, configurable application integrations (EAI) with transactional systems. • Support & administer existing web environment *Education/training required:* • Bachelors degree in Computer Science required *Experience required:* *• 8 years of web development experience using J2EE and XML technologies. Must have used all framework components extensively (HTML/XHTML, DB2, Javascript, Struts, Servlet, JSP, EJB, JMS, JNDI, LDAP, JDBC, PHP, XML, XSL, XSLT, SAX/DOM, XPath, XQuery, SOAP, Web Services, WSDL, Oracle/MS SQL). • 5 years of experience in implementing major web sites and portals (standalone and process oriented) on WebSphere Application Server or Portal Server v5 or higher • 3 years of development experience building Portlets (standalone, process) with WebSphere Portal Server, Process Server, Portlet Factory and process modeler. • 2 years of experience with developing functional requirements using Use Cases/Process • Models/Wire frames and technical requirements using UML and data models. • 1 to 2 years of experience with WebSphere Workplace Content Management, Portal • Document Management, Workplace Forms, Content Tagging, Search, Personalization • Must have working knowledge with Web Security (SSL, Digital Signatures) and e-Commerce Gateways • Must have working knowledge with EAI, Java Connector Architecture, Message Brokers (MQ Series) • Expert familiarity with WebSphere Portal Administration, WebSphere Workplace Content Management Administration and WebSphere Application Server Administration (Clustering, Tuning, Deployment, Distribution, IBM Directory Server, etc.). • General web administrations (Apache 1.3 or higher, configuration, WebLogic, Clustering, Tuning, Deployment, Distribution, etc.) • Experience with RAD tools, WebSphere Portlet Factory and IDEs • Expert knowledge on Content Management and Web 2.0 patterns (AJAX, DHTML)* *Experience Preferred:* • Certifications relevant to J2EE development and architecture, WebSphere experience with Project Management Tools -- Thanks & Regards, P.
